Water and burst pipes during winter months
If you go away in winter, please set the heating for a short period each evening on a low temperature. Otherwise, please advise Abertay, as we may wish to drain down the hot and cold water system or to avoid burst pipes.
During periods of extreme weather conditions Abertay often drains down the system in empty properties.
