Action for Children – Arthurstone Terrace
Abertay works in partnership with Action for Children by providing accommodation for Action for Children at Arthurstone Terrace. They provide targeted support to vulnerable and socially excluded young people aiming to reduce homelessness with young people by providing a range of interventions, including housing advice, conflict resolution, education in schools, group work and support for the individual young person
Action for Children assist young people, aged 16 – 25, who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
They aim to provide:
- a welcoming and accessible service that respects and values young people as individuals
- a professional, non-judgemental and confidential way in a safe and comfortable environment
- work in partnership with young people and where appropriate their families, employers, organisations and individuals
- provide information and guidance to encourage young people to make informed healthy decisions
Action for Children aim to protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support, ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning to bring lasting improvements to their lives.
